Biography
Stephen A. Eason, CFA serves as President and Director of UIA Investment Management, LLC. Mr. Eason has over 30 years of investment experience, and, prior to joining UIA-IM, Mr. Eason held executive management and board positions at Amundi Smith Breeden. His most recent position was Global Head of Investment Solutions for Amundi Smith Breeden where he spearheaded the effort to develop and implement tailored investment strategies for U.S. and non-U.S. institutional clients. Previous roles include a position as an officer in sales and trading at Salomon Brothers, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, where he specialized in mortgage-backed securities. Mr. Eason also served as a financial services relationship manager at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., New York. Mr. Eason earned a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from The Wharton School, Graduate Division, University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance and Banking, from the University of Arkansas, where he graduated with Honors, was named to Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Iota Epsilon honor societies, and won the Wall Street Journal Award as outstanding finance student. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder.
