Kristie Hannemann, CFA

Biography

Kristie Hannemann, CFA serves as the Research and Information Systems Manager at UIA Investment Management, LLC. In this capacity, Ms. Hannemann is responsible for building and maintaining analytical models that measure the risk and relative value of fixed-income securities. Using advanced statistical methods, she maintains the firm’s Market Duration estimates that provide a proprietary measure of the interest rate sensitivity of securities with embedded options. In addition, she works with the investment team and the Director of Operations to design and maintain a data warehouse that supports the in-house research effort and other firm-wide information needs. Prior to joining UIA-IM, Ms. Hannemann spent 15 years at Amundi Smith Breeden, most recently serving as a senior member of the Investment Research team. Ms. Hannemann holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado, where she was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor society. After graduation, she worked closely with CU faculty in the founding of the University’s Quantitative Finance Certificate program. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder.
