Biography
Brian Doherty has served the American Labor Movement for over 35 years. Since 2008, he has worked at Ullico, currently covering a Life & Health sales territory from New York City to Miami. He helps unions obtain Medical Stop Loss, Disability and Life Insurance policies for their members.
Doherty instinctively understands a union must protect and grow its membership by continually upgrading and modernizing its member benefit programs. He relies on his union experience as an organizer, an elected official, a health and pension fund trustee, and a member of the IU Staff. He has also served as a BLS Labor Commissioner at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Doherty holds multiple Labor Course Certificates from The George Meany Center for Labor Studies, a Life Health and Annuities License in Multiple States, a Masters in Labor Administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from George Mason University.
Doherty has been married to his wife Adrianne for 38 years has three grown children. He divides his time between South Florida and Northern Virginia.
