CELEBRATING A 40-YEAR UNION MEMBER

Luke Howe, Managing Director of Ullico Investment Advisors, Inc., received his 40-year membership pin from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. IBEW Local #9 Business Manager Bill Niesman presented.

A PARALEGAL PROMOTED TO COUNSEL

Nadine Lindsay has been a Senior Paralegal in Ullico's law department for 10 years. After completing her coursework, she recently graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and passed the D.C. Bar exam. She was promoted to Counsel and will handle legal matters from around the company. HELPING YOUTH BECOME ACTIVE CITIZENS

Ullico was honored with the Legacy Award by the Mikva Challenge, an innovative youth civic engagement program working with 1,200 local students at 33 schools across Washington, D.C. Ullico was recognized as a dedicated partner to the local community and for helping the organization raise $140,000. (l to r) DC Attorney General Karl Racine, Sanford Horwitt, Edward M. SUPPORTING LABOR AT THE NABTU LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE

Earlier this year, Ullico participated in North America's Building Trades Unions' NABTU) Annual Legislative Conference with 2,500 building trades members, leaders and supporters. The theme was "United We Build."

KUDOS FROM THE WASHINGTON IRELAND PROGRAM

Ullico President and CEO Edward M. Smith was honored by the Washington Ireland Program, an organization that inspires and develops promising young leaders from a wide range of communities and backgrounds.

ULLICO PRESENT AT AFL-CIO MEETINGS

Union leaders came together during the AFL-CIO 2019 district meetings to celebrate their progress and prepare for the important challenges ahead.




UNION LABOR RENOVATES ULLICO OFFICE

When it came time to renovate Ullico's office in Silver Spring, MD, there was no question it would be done with union labor. Thanks to our many partners, Buch Construction, SKB Architects and IMPACT Office, for their hard work and professionalism in creating our new home.

ULLICO CO-HOSTS BUILDING TRADES LABOR SYMPOSIUM

Pension fund trustees and administrators, General Presidents and special guests joined for the Capital Strategies Meeting co-hosted by NABTU and Ullico in June. The day-long event featured presentations from investment firms with Responsible Contractor Policies that ensure strong labor protections for their real estate & infrastructure investments.

ULLICO RECOGNIZED FOR WELLNESS PROGRAM

United Health Care recognized Ullico with a 2018 Well Deserved Honorable Mention Award for its commitment to worksite wellness. More than 4,000 of United Healthcare's clients were eligible to apply for the award. Of those that applied, UHC selected 20 award winners, including Ullico.
