Washington D.C. (October 30, 2018) – Ullico Investment Advisors, Inc. ("UIA") welcomes the addition of Timothy J. Cunneen, CFA, and Daniel R. Adler as senior professionals who will join UIA Investment Management, LLC ("UIA-IM") upon its expected launch in early 2019. Mr. Cunneen will serve as Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager. Mr. Adler will serve as a Senior Portfolio Manager and is also expected to serve on the new company's Board of Directors. Mr. Cunneen and Mr. Adler, along with Stephen Eason, President, and Julie Curd, Director of Client Service, will form the Executive Committee of the new firm, which will provide fixed-income management services to institutional investors.

In addition to serving Taft-Hartley pension and other benefit funds and union operating accounts, UIA-IM will offer customized investment management services to other institutional funds, including corporate and public pension funds, endowments and foundations, and sovereign entities.
Timothy J. Cunneen, CFA, Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager, will lead the firm's investment team. He previously served for 20 years as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Agency MBS and Short Duration strategies at Amundi Smith Breeden.
Daniel R. Adler, Senior Portfolio Manager, previously served as Director of Securitized Assets and Senior Portfolio Manager for the Agency MBS strategy at Amundi Smith Breeden. Mr. Adler brings over 25 years of investment experience to the firm.
In addition to Eason, Curd, Adler and Cunneen, the UIA-IM team will include:
St. John M. Kelliher, CFA, Director of Operations, an industry professional with over 26 years of experience. Mr. Kelliher will manage trade execution and settlement as well as portfolio accounting and client reporting.
Anna Griffiths, CFA, Associate Portfolio Manager, an investment professional with over 22 years of experience. Ms. Griffiths will be responsible for conducting detailed loan level analysis and research on Agency mortgage-backed securities.
Kristie Hannemann, CFA, Research and Information Systems Manager, a research professional with over 15 years of experience. Ms. Hannemann will be responsible for building and maintaining analytical models that measure the risk and relative value of fixed-income securities.
Kelliher, Griffiths, and Hannemann are all former employees of Amundi Smith Breeden.
In the short term, the UIA-IM team will be employees of UIA, and will begin managing assets before year-end. The firm plans to formalize the UIA-IM affiliate structure in early 2019.
