Ullico Infrastructure Management Company, LLC (“UIMC”) is actively recruiting a Fund Accounting & Operations Associate for the Ullico Infrastructure Fund (the “Fund”). The Fund was launched in 2012 and is structured as a commingled, unitized open-ended private equity fund. The Fund focuses on infrastructure investments in the United States and Canada and has a current asset value of approximately $4.0 billion. Reporting to the Finance Director of UIMC, the position will help manage accounting and operations functions related to the Fund and its underlying portfolio companies. The job position is in UIMC’s Chicago office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Finance Director in managing accounting and operations activity associated with the Fund.
  • Act as primary resource for management of general ledgers and accounting functions.
  • Assist in the transition of accounting services to internal platform; identify and support implementation of general ledger system.
  • Lead month-end and quarterly closing processes for Fund entities.
  • Prepare financial statements and investor reporting material; arrange supporting information for determination of investor dividends.
  • Manage payment processing activity associated with investment fundings, vendor invoicing, and investment distributions.
  • Oversee investor reporting system to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.
  • Contribute to input of investment data in UIMC’s portfolio management system.
  • Provide support to UIMC’s acquisitions and asset management teams for ongoing transaction development and fund management.
  • Assist Finance Director in managing audit process for Fund entities with internal and external auditors; provide support for tax reporting requirements.
  • Improve systems and processes in order to better serve Fund clients.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree, CPA desired
  • 2-5 years of experience as an investment fund accountant
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems
  • Previous experience implementing accounting systems
  • Capacity to manage accounting and operations work for multiple fund entities
  • Flexible, team-oriented approach to work
  • Financial statement preparation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, i-Level experience
