Ullico Infrastructure Management Company (“UIMC”) is seeking an Associate to join the Ullico Infrastructure Fund (“UIF” or the “Fund”) investment team. UIF has investments in various types of infrastructure including, but not limited to, renewable energy, conventional power generation, utilities, energy, transportation, and digital infrastructure. The position will support the Fund’s acquisition, asset management and portfolio management activities in overseeing existing investments and adding new investments that meet the Fund’s strategy and investment parameters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Involvement with the investment process from origination to closing, including screening, due diligence, underwriting, structuring, and documentation.

  • Creating, reviewing, and managing complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, optimize capital structure, and sensitize for various economic scenarios.
  • Working with the team to conduct commercial, financial, legal, and technical diligence.
  • Preparing investment memoranda and presentations.
  • Drafting and negotiating definitive documentation.
  • Working closely with various portfolio company management teams and their respective boards of directors to shape corporate strategy and implement value-enhancing initiatives, including capital projects, operational improvements, re-financings and follow-on acquisitions.
  • Reviewing and analyzing construction plans, business plans, board material and other information prepared by management of portfolio companies.
  • Monitoring existing investments and assisting with investor reporting and diligence requests.
  • Support portfolio management activities including fund valuation activities and investor reporting.
  • Lead or support industry or market research initiatives and assist in preparing presentations on research findings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of professional work experience in principal investing, investment banking, corporate development, accounting and/or consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree require. MBA, CFA, CPA or other finance training is a plus.
  • Demonstrated competency in technical analysis, corporate finance, financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and transaction process.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proven experience preparing polished presentation materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and desire for self-development
