Washington, DC (April 7, 2009) — ULLICO Inc., labor's own insurance and financial services company, announced the hiring of Denise Olivares as Vice President of Marketing for The Union Labor Life Insurance Company (Union Labor Life).

A 20-year veteran of the financial services industry, Ms. Olivares will be responsible for Union Labor Life's overall marketing strategy across its three business channels  group life and health insurance, direct marketed insurance products, and individual life insurance. She will oversee marketing efforts focused on reaching and serving the life and health insurance needs of labor unions and unionized workers. In addition, Ms. Olivares will lead Union Labor Life's Product Development Steering Committee, and provide communications and sales support to its sales teams and key business partners.

Before joining ULLICO Inc., Ms. Olivares consulted in financial services and related industries. She has held senior positions with financial industry leaders such as AXA Financial, Prudential Financial, and J.C. Penney Life Insurance Company (now Stonebridge Life). Prior responsibilities include senior management roles in product development, product and segment marketing and corporate strategic planning.

Ms. Olivares earned a B.A. in Public Policy and a B.A in Economics from Duke University. She holds certifications as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), as well as Series 7 and 24 licenses. She currently serves as a member of the LOMA Textbook Review Panel.
