THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

‘Tis the season for giving and sharing! And, it was in keeping with this spirit that ULLICO leadership presented company employees with a gift that would benefit many in these tough economic times—a gift card valued at $75 to Giant food stores. 
 
Purchased at a local Giant store, the gift cards will not only help ULLICO families during the holidays, they also support Giant and its employees who are members of Local 400 of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW).  “ ULLICO’s 'Shop Union' policy does so much good for so many," said Tom McNutt, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 400.  " We are so appreciative of ULLICO's support of our union and more importantly, the company's ongoing commitment to providing quality insurance and financial services to union members and their families for so many decades." 
 
But the benefits of the gift cards do not end here.  Inspired by the sentiment behind the gift and a holiday food drive conducted by staff, members of ULLICO’s senior management team generously donated their gift cards to the charity, So Others Might Eat (SOME). $2000 and three large boxes of canned food were collected and delivered to SOME  to help those in need during this holiday season.  In a letter acknowledging the donation,  Father John Adams, President of SOME, thanked the employees of ULLICO for their generosity and helping to "break the cycle of homelessness in our nation's capital." 
 
A holiday gift that truly keeps on giving!
