Life Insurance for Members
The Union Labor Life Insurance Company offers a variety of life insurance coverage to fit the needs of working families.
Term Life Insurance: Term policies are available in 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 year durations up to $250,000. Term insurance is generally the most affordable form of life insurance, and premiums do not change during the term of the policy due to changing health conditions or other personal circumstances. In many cases, applicants under age 55 will not be required to take a medical exam. Term policies have accelerated benefits for terminal illness, organ transplant and strike waiver benefits built-in, and the 20 year term has a Return of Premium option.*
Senior Term Life Insurance: The older you get, the harder it can be to find life insurance protection that fits. Our Senior Term Life insurance policy is designed specifically for union members, retirees and their spouses ages 50+ up to $25,000. Policy issue is based on answers to a few questions on a brief application. Once a policy is issued, rates remain constant for the life of the policy, guaranteed to continue to age 100 so long as premiums are paid. When the insured reaches age 100, the policy endows, and the full face amount is paid to the owner.
Whole Life Insurance: Insured members are guaranteed the option of converting their term insurance to a whole life policy. Whole Life insurance provides lifelong coverage and premium rates remain the same for the duration of the policy. When the insured reaches age 100 the policy the policy endows, and the full face amount is paid to the owner.
Graded Benefit Life: Our flexible underwriting helps most members get the coverage they apply for; however, if health conditions preclude members from obtaining that policy, they can purchase the Graded Benefit Life, guaranteed to be issued regardless of health condition. Life insurance benefits build over a 10 year period and range from $1,000 to $25,000. The product also includes the Strike Waiver.*

Injury, illness, accidents and all other causes of death are covered.
